My Journey

So glad you decided to know more about my Journey, I promise you it’s an interesting one!

My journey with textile art, in general, first started around year 2016 when I purchased a woven tapestry for my home. I was totally fascinated by it!

At that time, I was a new stay-at-home mom, recently moved to the USA, starting from scratch with no family & friends around. It was a tough transitional phase & I felt like I lost my identity along the way & I needed to re-discover who I am.

I was craving to learn something new, something different, something that sparked my creativity. So, I listened to my intuition & decided to learn a couple of fiber art crafts. 

I always had the love for textiles & fibers in me! In my childhood, I grew up around a family of knitters and crafters. My mom and aunts used to knit scarves and baby sweaters, make crochet table runners, coasters, etc...

 Anyhow, after learning a couple of crafts, I found myself totally smitten by macrame & weaving.

 Since then, macrame & weaving have become my creativity outlet & my calm space! To me, these crafts were both therapeutic & rewarding in so many ways.

 So I decided to take it further by learning & developing my skills through books, tutorials, live workshops & online courses with amazingly talented and skilled artists.

 Now, as a macrame artist and educator, I feel so grateful, content, and blessed to be part of the modern version of these ancient crafts.
